Picture your event like a musical; it is a production which combines the talents of different groups of people from your Photographer, caterer, entertainer and even your wedding party. Your event can be divided up into its different acts and scenes. Starting with your ceremony, formal reception and dance. Imagine what a musical would be like if no one knew their lines, roles, or the songs to sing. Preparation is what makes a musical a Broadway hit and your event is your opening night.

You are the producer and stars; often people hire a Wedding Planner or Day of Coordinator to be the Director. It’s not often the Master of Ceremonies is tasked with the full ranged of responsibilities beyond the simplest, introducing the toasts.

The services provided by TJ the DJ is based on years of experience and networking with many professional performers and entertainers from all over North America. The evolution of services has become a must for any professional entertainer; a professional spends the time to assist you in creating an event that is uniquely you and must always be continuing their education in the industry. TJ the DJ allows you to create your event based on your needs and wants, along with expert guidance and support. You won’t find a “package” with TJ the DJ, you will find a wholly customizable selection of features that you can select to create your event. A professional entertainer has the knowledge and ability to be flexible and meet your needs as they develop. You create your package, so you can feel confident in the results that you are looking for.

All weddings start at  $1200 and at $900 for Corporate and other formal events. Call for prices on birthday and anniversary’s.

TJ the DJ goes one step further in providing clients with an online protected page where details can be viewed of their contract, meeting notes and other details which is updated though out the preparation process. Know with confidence that you are receiving value on your entertainment investment. TJ the DJ is the first and only Professional Music Entertainer in central Alberta  to offer this type of service.

Included with any program is Liability & Equipment Insurance, AVLA Licensed Music, back up sound equipment, Professional Grade wireless microphone system available for speeches/toasts. Professional Sound System suitable for a medium sized room/hall for 150 – 200 people, travel with in 30 KM of Red Deer and a small light show designed not to irritate guests and tastefully illuminate a dance floor and a completely comprehensive Contract.

TJ the DJ sets up about 3 hours prior to guests expected arrival to completely check and test all sound equipment and special music, as well, available for those giving speeches/toasts to sound check them selves and rehearse before guests arrive where possible.

In the event the Ceremony and reception are in two different places, depending on distance and times between the end of the Ceremony and Receptions additional costs my be incurred for additional set up and staff to cover both locations adequately. TJ the DJ will perform for you exclusively at both locations.

The Ceremony – Your wedding ceremony is the solemn exchanging of vows, making that life long commitment in the prescience of family and friends and should feel graceful, smooth, elegant and joyful.

The Formal Reception - The part of the wedding where your family and friends are Wine, Dined and toasted. Everyone in attendance present to honor you and your new life and commitment.

The Dance – The big celebration in honor of your wedding and your thank you to all your friends and family for their support of your new life.

Corporate and Other Formal Events - This would include Christmas Parties, Awards, Graduations and other events where an organized formal precense would be required.

If your event is more casual, like a Birthday or a general “party” where a formal set up and organization is not nessesary, call for a quote.

Additional Features

The following features have additional costs and are available by request in addition to the client customized features list.

  • Stag & Doe Parties either Solo or Combined. Prices vary based on the type of entertainment requested.
  • Gift Opening Entertainment: Have music and PA for your gift opening. Announce the Gift and who gave it, also back ground music for brunch. – $200 + lodging if applicable.
  • Add a larger light Show – $200.00
  • Up – lighting effect. – Price varies based on over all fixture count, size of room. Starts at $1000.
  • Add a Smoke / Fog Machine – $100.00
  • Larger Sound System or second system – $400.00 * May be required for larger halls and groups or ceremony/reception locations not permitting enough time to set up and properly test equipment prior to guests arrival.
  • Screen, laptop and Projector for Slide show: $475.00
  • MC Consultation Reception Planning and Time Line. MC Coaching – $500
  • Add Game Show elements: Wedding Games and Bride and Groom Trivia. – $100

If I am unfamiliar with your chosen location of venue I will visit the location if needed to confirm the floor plan and my setup location so that I may further improve on my services to you. (Within reasonable driving distance) or obtain a map for the lay out of the location.
